Having a hard time sorting duplicates in iTunes?
I just wanted to share this very useful app. It worked most effectively for me than the rest.

iTunes Dupes Barrier allows you to search duplicate songs inside the iTunes and iPod songs' databases.

so those dupes mean that I can delete one and save space ??

Great !! How do you delete it ?? If you delete the Dupe playlist items you just delete the playlist item and not the song (mp3 file) right ??

How do you delete it completely ??

FYI, iTunes 4.7 has a new command - "Show Duplicate Songs" on the Edit menu.

thanks for the tip! this command searches duplicates in your library very quickly. too bad it doesn't seem to work on the ipod's library.

Alia, I told you na, you should just use the Automatic setting so that iTunes just synchs with your iPod. You have enough HDD for your songs naman eh.

FYI to iTunes Dupes Barrie users. Version 1.0.3 has been released (11.15.2004). It can now search iPod Minis.

I tried using the Edit>Show Duplicate Songs in iTunes 4.7 but you can't tweak the search as you can in Dupes. As alia said, this feature can't search your iPod but Dupes can. I still yet to use the latest version extensively.
