    Default Freehand Importing Problems

Hi there. I'm having problems with my psd file that I'm trying to import to freehand. It looks ok after I import it but it comes out pixelized when I try and print it. Anyone?

    TIA

Hmmm.... not really sure (haven't done it for a long time) but if my memory doesn't fail me, Freehand imports a "placer" version of the graphics you did in PS.... meaning that it imports a low rez version of the graphic.

Try saving an EPS or TIFF for output/printing and importing those formats in FH, they work a lot better.

I agree. Do not import PSDs. TIFFs, EPS, or JPG are the way to go.

Check your Freehand Preferences and in Redraw, check the highest on screen resolution.

Great tips! All's well now. I saved the psd file to TIFF then imported it to FH. It was clear as day.

Thanks to cutiepanda, Carlo, and Kelvin.
