Hi, i can't seem to open my old flash document w/ .exe extension. I tried using windows and it opend w/o any problems. I noticed that the file opened on a flash player 5 using my PC. I searched for a flash player 5 for mac and my file still won't open.. please help...

If it has an .exe extension, then it's been converted from the native flash format (.swf) into a windows "projector" which is essentially the same document and a portable version of the flash player rolled into a single Windows executable (.exe). As far as I know mac and windows projectors are made differently. You'll probably need to get the original .swf file to see it on the mac. Or maybe there are programs on the 'net to convert a flash projector back into .swf. Hope this helps.

Try this, found it on Google just now. Don't know anything about it except for what it says on the blurb though. If it does what it says it does, it should work. Although this is a program for Windows, it might be ok for your needs if you need it just this once.

You're welcome. By the way, while we're on the topic, I noticed a while back that a flash file (.swf) I developed played really fast and snappily on my 2-year old Dell Latitude (my work machine) but seemed unnaturally slow on a 1-year old 867mhz Powerbook I was testing it on. I really couldn't understand why this was and to date I have found no explanation: this and a few other "heavy" flash files seem to go more slowly on the powerbook. Does anybody have any similar experiences or insights as to the reason? Thanks in advance.

By the way the aforementioned flash file can be found on the splash screen of www.oishi.com.ph, in case you guys have some time to test it.
