    Hey guys,

This is great! Thanks for the link, hannibal. And I thought e-Sword was the only freebie online bible around. I'd never thought Mac users would someday have this. Cheers!

Too bad NIV ain't available. But hey, beggars can't be choosers. Right?

I've been using MacSword for more than a year now. I think you'll find the ISV (International Standard Version) closest to NIV. My personal preference for study is NASB (but that's just the geeky me). But seriously, I find NASB more faithful to the original Hebrew and Greek of both testaments. But NIV is a fine translation nonetheless. When I find the somewhat literal and sometimes terse construction of NASB a bit mind-twisting, I swing the complete opposite direction and open my Today's English version. But I digress.

I think you will find the Hebrew-Greek, Greek-Hebrew, Hitchcock, ISBE, Strong's, and TCR (Thompson Chain Reference) Lexicons equally worth downloads. Hey, they're all free! What can I say.

Let me correct my English-- I meant "equally WORTHY downloads"--sorry.

P.S. I haven't tried the devotionals yet. Someone download it and tell us what's good, okay?

Another good thing about MacSword are the Chinese versions.

Bob, did you mean you downloaded and using the NASB for free?
