    Default ACC to MP3 CD

My entire library is made up of ACC's now. I just noticed that since everything is encoded as ACC's I no longer can make mp3 cd's (I use them for my car which has an mp3 cd player). Is there any way around this so that iTunes can make mp3 discs again?

Reimport it as an MP3 file in iTunes.

not unless you have an mp3 version of all your songs... and an aac version... hehehe then you don't have to worry about it... you only have a few thousand right... so it won't eat up a lot of space...

    Hi tdbur,

This is one of the disadvantage of using AAC encoder.

To make mp3 CDs from itunes, you will have to convert your AAC files to MP3 before burning to CD, If you have time to spare you can:

    1. Make a playlist of the songs you want to burn to MP3
    2. Change your encoder to MP3 (iTunes-preferences-importing-import using MP3
    3. Convert your AAC to MP3 (Select a song or a folder - Advance - convert selection to MP3)
    4. Enable "kind" (edit-view options or command J)
    5. Search "Mpeg"
    6. Make playlist of your mpeg files and its now ready for burning

    Hope this helps
