I have recently contacted the relatively inactive Apple Resellers in this forum. As we can see, a dedicated section for Apple Resellers has been set up. This space has been provided for them not just as a venue for store announcements, product availability and pricing news, et.al., but also as a means of communication between them and PhilMUG members.

I have been informed that Power Mac has already assigned people to man their PhilMUG section. We're just waiting for them to be more active in participating. Hopefully, once they become active, they would monitor threads like this and provide our members appropriate feedback.

I have informed PMC that there's a feedback thread concerning them here in PhilMUG. And yes, I told them not all comments are good. Hopefully, they will respond accordingly.

I'm sure we will meet them if go straight to DTI. That's what I'm planning to do next week.

Last week, I went to Megamall for a meetup, went to PMC, and played with the trackpad. I asked the sales rep standing nearby how would I do a right click or secondary click. He told me to press cmd then click. I really have no clue as I never used the trackpad before. After looking at the trackpad setting, it shows that I just need to tap two fingers at the same time to do a secondary click.

I'm not really complaining, IMO these sales rep should know these basic stuff.

Have noticed these two as well.

Their front people are snob. Unless you're a foreigner or in a decent attire.

And yes, they're always busy playing their display models. Ask them if you can try, they'll say they're doing something important.. Happened to me once when I'm window shopping for an iMac last year.

That's why when I'm buying something there, I go straight to the cashier. But considering my location, near Makati/Manila/Pasay, if I need something and don't find it in Digital Hub/Walker, PowerMac is my next and final option.

But aside from the front people, I think PowerMac is still fine. I asked one of the back people to reserve an Office:Mac for me, and he did. He's true to his words Just don't transact with PowerMac's front people if you don't want to lose your cool

Got the same experience from powermac Megamall. In the market for a 27 inch iMac. Now looking elsewhere. That's what happens if you get people from your warehouse and other odd places dress them up and expect them to perform. The moment your not looking chit chat chit chat, waiting for time to go home, ilag customers and play with cell phone. End result pissed off customers and less sales

I just wanted to share my experience at Power Mac Center at the SM Mall of Asia.
I was looking for another MacBook Pro, a 13-inch, and saw that PMC had it listed at Php 64,990.
I asked them why their price is higher than the Apple Store online (store.apple.com/ph), which lists it at Php 61,990.
The response of the sales person was 'Sir hindi naman Power Mac yun, Apple Store yun e.'
I just turned around without saying anything.

In their defense - that's at least a step above from how my driver and katulong would rationalize it to you.

And after 1 week the PMC people assigned to man their PhilMUG section have made zero posts here. If their in-store service sucks as badly as muggers have posted here, I suppose their online service here meets their service standards
