    Hi guys,
Don't know if there is a thread about this but Im thinking of buying a wifi mobile device but i don't know which one to get... I know most uses the Huawei devices but i don't know if which one's good...
What I basically need for this is to be my primary wifi service.. so i need something that can download movies or games or big files fast... I know that this would depend on the service provided but would this mobile devices also matter? Also if you could put how much you got these devices!
    Waiting for your replies! Thanks!

I just purchased a ZTE MF62 which is supposed to be HSPA+ and I'm testing it out with different carriers. Works OK, not sure if the issue is with the mi-fi device or the carrier. I'll post some results on how it works soon.

wi-tribe proprietary wifi modem (bundled with their postpaid plan)

great for on-the-go but you need to stay on your place since there is no such thing as hand off with wi-tribe's wimax service. Basically you get cut off if you move away from the device's registered wimax tower. The device will have to search and connect to a new tower again.

Service is adequate though, torrent bandwidth shaping is in effect in the morning but speed is not sacrificed when it comes to other legitimate stuffs like web browsing and downloading. YMMV

Been using witribes pocket myfi also and yes even if its a pocket one i agree that you still nee to stay put on a good signal location hahaha you cant get stable connections while you are on the go.
Im still hoping their signals can reach my place in Bacoor since they already have booths around SM Bacoor already alas deadspot yata un lugar ko so i am still reviewing kung alin sa Globe or Smart ang stable ang signal since both these carriers have a gruesome 2 yr lock in!
Nagtataka din ako bakit ang tagal naman ng mga lock in period nila di katulad ng Sun walang lock in eh bakit di na lang nila icharge ang myfi device for a considerable price and lower te lock in period?

I am using Sun Broadband with a ZTE MF30. Sun's service is fast from around 2am until 6am and is so-so outside these hours. Also, connection is very poor if you are mobile (like in a moving vehicle).

I have a ZTE MF62. Tried using all Sun, smart and globe. Surfing = it's good/OK. Downloading = forget about it. You should get a fixed connection (cable/dsl/etc then get a wifi router) for your primary. the mifi should just be for emergency/mobile use. Save yourself the trouble and headaches.
