Top 10 Dsl Providers
Dear Philippins Macusers, best wishes from France !
My wife and me would come in your nice country in a few months, for rent a home for a long period (6 months to 1 entire year), before buy something and install definitively in Philippinas. During this time, I need a VERY GOOD and very stable DSL provider, for be able to continue to work with Europa and France (I'm graphic designer, and teleworker).
I should need a broadband access of the best quality, price is not really important.
Could you establish a TOP 10 of the best providers in your country ?
Thanks in advance for your answers… And see you soon !

BayanDSL for me.
Quick Service
Consistent Connection
and if my memory serves me right, they are the first to re-establish connection when the fiber optics cable (in Taiwan i think) were damaged by an earthquake not so long ago.

Re: Top 10 Dsl Providers
Perhaps it would be prudent to use two different DSL providers connected to a load-balancing router.
I don't think the Philippines has anywhere near 10 DSL providers.

Cablelink for me. Never had a problem since more than a year ago. When PLDT dsl had slowed down last christmas, mine was running at full speed, hehe. Was able to skype to a lot of friends overseas.

Re: Top 10 Dsl Providers
Simple explanation is: One router with two DSL providers (like a cellphone with dual SIM) - if one is down, the other is still up - so your connection is uninterrupted and you don't experience drop-outs. D-Link's DI-LB604 is one example of this router.
180er: Enlighten me on the "load-balancing router" please.

Oh. So, there are two ports for the two modems in this particular router model? Thanks.

Re: Top 10 Dsl Providers
Been having problems with PLDT and Globe Innove that's why we switched to another provider.
My suggestions would be (in order):
1) Eastern Telecom - Never had any downtime. This is what we use in my former company.
2) Primeworld Digital Systems - Their connection is top notch however they only offer corporate accounts.
3) Bayantel - They're pretty decent. Howewer, they only cover the Quezon City area and some parts of Makati.
5) Bell Telecommunications - Stable connection. Customer support is very helpful.
