Time Capsule issue in backing up
Hi there... I just bought a Time Capsule and started using it's backup functionality through Time Machine... I am, however, having an issue with the error message - "Time Machine Error Unable to complete backup. An error occurred while creating the backup directory". Does anybody here experienced the same issue?
Do downloading stuffs while backing up with Time Machine affects the process?
Kindly direct me to the correct thread if in case there is already an existing one for this issue. Thanks!

Re: Time Capsule issue in backing up
I'm currently having problems as well. This is already my 3rd time capsule. (1st and 2nd was replaced by Apple) I used to have no problems backing up. But my HD has approx 300GB of data and TC is having a hard time backing up.
I think I saw an issue in Versiontracker, can't find the link though. But I really think Apple's TC has an issue with backing up large data

Re: Time Capsule issue in backing up
hello surgfish... thanks for the feedback... currently i'm just backing up around 50GB worth of files... I'm thinking if the simultaneous downloads + backup is the reason for this error... I'll try to figure this out today... i'll also try to find the issue in Versiontracker, thanks! and good luck to us!

Re: Time Capsule issue in backing up
just an update...today i brought the time capsule to iRescue and unfortunately haven't got an immediate replacement as it was after the 9th day from purchase date (their rule to have immediate replacement is good within 7 days only after the purchase date)... i will have my replacement unit after 3-7 days from Apple...
Here are the issues encountered... right after i bought the TC, i upgraded to the latest firmware version 7.4.2.. then it was okay for 2 days but didn't had yet the time to run Time Machine for backup.. when I did, TM just stopped and status of the last back-up was error even if i was using the cat6 cable... then after several days, i tried to reconfigure the router via Airport Utility but got the dreaded errors -6722 and -6753 during reading of the config file... i researched and tried several solutions in the apple website including soft, hard and factory resets but to no avail... then when it got to iRescue earlier (thanks to Julius for the assistance), their router could not detect it so there.. it will be going back to Apple SG i guess.. As of now, i still don't know what cause those errors...
