Time Capsule Backup without using router
Since my time capsule were having problems. I resurrected my old linksys WRT54GS. Internet connection became stable and fast. Now I finally got a replacement TC from Apple, I'm thinking of holding on to my connection with Linksys. So I tried setting up Time capsule to join my current wireless network of my Linksys router. Setup was a breeze but after a day, I noticed my connection to the internet got soooo slow. So I unplug the TC and internet speed came back again.
My question is, if I want to use the backup feature of Time capsule with Time machine without using its router function, would this be possible?
Am I doing something wrong with my setup?

Re: Time Capsule Backup without using router
I think you'll have a better experience if you upgrade your router to 802.11 N. TC backups transmit lots of data and it's probably consuming all of your linksys router's bandwidth since it's only 802.11 G.
The greatest harm can come from the best intentions.

That's possible, you can use the TC as a repeater with some minimal setup using the Airport Utility
