Re: Is there a Portable Wireless Router available for use inside a vehicle?
This is how I do this: I stuck my SBW sim card into a wifi-capable Symbian S60 phone with HSDPA capability (e.g., Nokia E51, E71), on which is installed Walking Hotspot, which allows you to share the Internet received from the 3.5G radio of the phone and output it via wifi. It works well with my iPod Touch and up to 5 simultaneous users. It's a battery hog though so I keep my phone plugged into a charger if I want to do this over long stretches. Walking Hotspot is also available for Windows Mobile devices. Joikuspot is another similar program.

I've done that, but it wasn't a permanent setup. I just connected my SmartBro prepaid dongle to my MacBook, turned on my Airport Card with Internet Sharing turned on.
Everyone else in the car was able to use the WiFi Network I'd setup.

This might be an alternative solution for you - you can use an inverter for power. It will connect via 3G/HSDPA

Added: Oh, one limitation, I think you need a PCMCIA card like the old PLDT weroam cards, but I can't be sure if you can just plug your sim in.
