@ loko_loko were you able to fix the settings/dialer. i don't have windows with me so i can't follow the *globe instructions* in configuring the huawei e220.

didnt fix anything, i just use the software from huawei website (generic) mobile app (put in the apn) quit then i use the network dialer of mac (it will come out when you install the driver on mac)

i tried different options still no luck, now i'm using bootcamp and it runs on hsdpa! apparently you can choose your preferred network on the windows driver as opposed to mac.

I know! I also had trouble making calls with my Sun line yesterday. However, my SBW was working perfectly fine.

The 24 month lock-up is still questionable though. It may be fast now, but what if the service/speeds begin to decline on the 3rd month of the contract? Customers should have the right to terminate the service if a company does not fulfill their end of the deal. Just look at how many Visibility/Smart Bro subscribers are so dissatisfied but couldn't do anything. I don't know why these telcos are getting away with these lock-up schemes.

actually, one can do something about it... we have had telco services disconnected with a rescission agreement between the provider and us with non-fulfillment of expected service as cause...

There are 2 kinds of unlimited, 799 a month unlimited data @ 2mbps with init cash out of 2.5k w/o contract and there is unlimited 999 with no cash out but w/ 24 months contract (basically a 799 paid in installment for the 2,500 cash out, but the NO contract is better since it is cheaper) the 200 pesos difference will eventually add up to 4800Php after 24 months.
