Default Smart + Airborne Access Promo

    Hi all!

I'm surprised this hasn't been announced here yet, but there's an ongoing promo for Smart Gold and Addict subscribers. For just P198, you can enjoy 3 months unlimited wifi via Airborne Access hotspots

Got this from our sister site, Pinoymac:
Early Bird Promo: Register from April 2 to May 2, 2007 and get one month FREE! Pay only P198 for three months unlimited WiFi access.

Regular Rates: Register from May 3 to July 2, 2007 and enjoy unlimited WiFi for only P99 per month until October 2, 2007 and P199 per month from October 3 to December 31, 2007.
To register, just type REG<space>NAME/M (for male) or F (for female)/AGE and send to 9434. You'll get an instant reply thanking you for registering and saying it'll take around 2 hours to process your request, and then they'll send you your username and password.

Mike! This is a good deal

Those living in high-rises near commercial centres may find that using a really good Wi-Fi antenna near the window may provide better bandwidth via Wi-Fi than Smart Bro's wireless service.

This should be nationwide as long as you're a smart postpaid subscriber.

I'm actually using it now but I haven't tried it with multiple logins. Signal here in Starbucks Shangri-La is bad though. I had to go to the bar table near the mall entrance to get a signal. Zero signal when I was inside.

Posting this while using my subscription to this promo

Please note that you should add "@smartgold" after the username sent via text (which is basically your mobile number) upon logging in. Unfortunately, this was never mentioned in the mechanics nor in the text prompt being sent out to successful registrations:

For successful registration, the password will be sent to the subscriber’s mobile phone within 2 hours. Username will be the mobile phone number. An error message will be sent to all unsuccessful registrations.

    2. With his own laptop or WiFi capable device, the Smart Gold/Addict subscriber enters the Smart Gold-Addict Log-In page in an Airborne Access Hotspot and enters the username and password. The Terms and Conditions for the promo are presented to the Subscriber for his/her acceptance. If accepted, the Subscriber is allowed to access the Internet.
I had to call the AA hotline to check why I couldn't log in. Anyhoo, all's well that ends well. I just wanted to share this important piece of info.

i got the promo and i must say its very convinient. at least you dont have to but prepaid cards and worry about how long have i been loged on. at least with this you dont have to worry about losing your connection after an hour. also if you use this for more than an hour sulit na and 99 pesos a month. cuz a pre paid card would go for 100 pesos for 1 hour.
