Default Problem with BayanDSL & Apple Airport Extreme

    Hi all,

Need your help. I just got BayanDSL connected today.
When I connect it directly to my macbook, it works perfectly.

But I can't seem to make it work using my Apple WiFi router.

I tried everything but it didn't seem to work.

I still have my PLDT which i plan to cut anytime soon. When I use PLDT to connect to Apple Wifi, it's working well.

    I badly need help..

    Thanks!

    Hello Roch,

Try the ff. settings in Airport Utility, Internet:

    Connect using: Ethernet
    Configure IPv4 : Using DHCP
    Connection Sharing: (Off) Bridge Mode

Try looking at how you connect to the internet. It should be via PPPoE. Also, check your username and password.

@HeaRty, I'm on BayanDSL and I need to configure my AirPort Extreme to connect via PPPoE. You might want to confirm with Bayan if your account connects via DHCP or PPPoE.

Okay, you'll need to configure your AExtreme according to the information given to you by Bayan. Ask them for the following:

    1. IP Address assigned to your account (this is your static IP).
    2. Subnet Mask.
    3. Gateway address.
    4. DNS addresses (they'll give 2 sets).

Once you have those, connect to your AExtreme wifi network and launch the AirPort Utility. Click on the Aextreme you want to configure and click on "Manual Setup". Click on the "Internet" icon at the top of the window, then click on the "Internet Connection" tab.

    Set the following accordingly:
    Connect Using: Ethernet
    Configure IPv4: Manually

For the rest of the fields, fill them up with the information from Bayan. When you're done, click on the "Update" button and wait for your AExtreme to restart. Post again if you need to clarify anything

I know how you feel, solving network problems can get very frustrating. It's also one of the hardest things to diagnose remotely.

Are your Internet settings on the Mac all in automatic? Go to System Preferences -> Network, click on AirPort and select "Advanced". Go to the TCP/IP tab and make sure DHCP is selected. If it's not on DHCP, please write down the settings before changing it to DHCP.

BTW, I sent you a PM.

help anyone? I'm really getting frustrated.

Some people tell me that the modem itself might be a router as well that's why I can't make it work..

I dont know how to solve this
