Make sure you are using your Mac's assigned IP and the port your application client is using. In Vuze, I'm using port 6881. In Airport Utility, click Advanced, then click Port Mapping. Click + button to add your new setting. Plug in your IP and the port number and name you want. Click ok. Make sure no computer in the house is using that port. Otherwise you need to create new settings for them using a different port number. Everytime you change a port no. you msut change it on the app client as well.

Try this guide. It's more basic and simple. good luck!

oh, if you want to access your time capsule's hard drive over the internet, here's another guide.

Here's my experience related to this on sharing the TC drive over the internet with port forwarding:

Unless you have very fast internet both ways though, VNC and access of files, and transferring them will be a drag. Also, make sure your Mac always has the same local IP or you also need to change the port forwarding settings. I also suggest you look into using DNS-o-Matic and DynDNS to map your dynamic IP, if you have one.
