Parallels on a different subnet as my Mac
I installed XP on my Mac Mini via Parallels. IP address on my current network issued by my router is 192.168.15.xxx.
The XP under Parallels is getting an IP with a different subnet like 10.1.1.xxx. Now I can't access my IP camera under 192.168.15.111.
Is there a way for me to get the XP under parallels on the same subnet?

Re: Parallels on a different subnet as my Mac
I recommend you use VMWare Fusion. It's easier to configure the network, as you can easily selct Bridge mode.

http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/
USD80 for VMware Fusion. You can buy it for half the price at some online resellers. Google is your friend.

VMware can also be bought via Philippine Online Apple Store. Costs P4,150. Here's the link:

Been planning to buy that as well.

Thanks guys... I was able to find the Bridge mode for networking on the Parallels and now I'm on the same subnet already.

which one is better: parallels, vmware, crossover or virtualbox?

Re: Parallels on a different subnet as my Mac
Change the network configuration in parallels to bridge networking and parallels will get its own IP from the DHCP router.
