    Default Network Guy Referral

    Hi guys,

I've given up on playing with my router for the office. Can someone here refer me to a guy that's knowledgeable on this matter. My requirement would be to block limewire and such on my network, as traffic is quite heavy already. Thanks in advanced.

Ok, I'm really off topic now but may I suggest a Mac, place them all on parental control!

just joking! I think if all else fails, find a software solution

I am not sure if you are running vista, on xp open control panel. then open Security Center.Click on Internet Options, Privacy then Sites. Here you can type in the url of a site you want permanently blocked. Type in the url then click the button that says "Block". The site cannot be accessed after you do this.

It sounds like you already played with your router... that is good.

Go to the section under security and block the limewire ports...

A list of ports for many programs can be found here: http://www.portforward.com/cports.htm

NOTE: users can change their ports, but most wont know how... if they do then you can use parental controls... in OSX and windows if you use that in the office...

Whats the model number and brand of your router?
NOTE: Do not eat an iPhone that does not belong to you. :P
