Linksys Range Expander Repair
Does anyone know of a place where they repair Linksys Range Expanders? I've had four units already and all seem to have the same problem. After about nine months, it just dies and no longer powers-up. The last one was a replacement already from the dealer so I can no longer claim warranty. I've given up on this model and will no longer buy one. Is there a Linksys Service Center somewhere?

They have a 1-800 number you can use to inquire, plus some other support/contact options; not sure about ASCs here in the Philippines, though.

If you want an almost-new, never-used WRE54G (bought Jan., '09, well within a Villman one-year warranty), send me a PM. Maybe we can strike a deal. Immediately after buying the thing I realized I was better off with a WAP54G and bought one. The range expander went back to its box immediately.
Good luck.

Same thing happened to me. The range expander died. Funny thing though, after about a week, I brought it to the store to claim warranty. When we plugged it in, it worked!
Baka kelangan lang ng pahinga. Try 'em again after some time.

Re: Linksys Range Expander Repair
I emailed Linksys at asiasupport@linksys.com and they told me that the Linksys Range Expander WRE54G has a three-year warranty although the store only gives a one-year warranty. They will process papers to send me a replacement unit. You need to have proof of purchase/receipt though.

Yes. All Linksys routers include 3 years warranty but the retailer would tell you that it only has one. When my WRT54G wireless router conked out a little over a year after I bought it, I called up my retailer to ask where I can have it repaired. They pointed me to their distributor and to my surprise, it was still under warranty. That is how I found out that all of the their routers come with a 3 year warranty. The distributor is Micro Village in Salcedo Vilage, Makati.
@Kenneth: Same thing happened to me. When I got there, they tested it and there was power and working. But I insisted on having it replaced just the same and they did.
