help wrt54gs v4

can you help me out?

I am using pldt dsl with the dsl 1 modem and linksys wry54gs v.4 wireless router. If connect it straight up to the dsl modem i dont have any problem. But if connect the wireless router and use the wifi. my pc and mac can connect to the router but the internet service is so slow that it can't even show webpages. What should i do?


And one more thing...

In my mac everytime i connect the the ethernet cable and i check the network settings. The ethernet cannot be detected and maintains to be not connected. While the Parallels Host Sharing indicates its connected.(I dont know what that is.) But both cant browse.

sod i exchanged the wireless router from my other house to check if there was something with my router. and hey my router workerd with the other house and the other houses' router had the same sluggish result with my own router

Did you try resetting your router?

yes i did try resetting my router. both routers for that matter. for some reason my router can associate with the modem but can squeeze internet juice to my pc or mac.

Is it a new router that you bought?
Is the internet connection indicator in the router fully lit ?
Try installing the router again with the CD it came with and after installation, you should check the network configuration and select the appropriate internet connection type. In that case I don't know what type of connection your isp uses...

Nope its not new. Tried a different wireless router but i get the same result. The internet light in the router blinks continuously while the lan light in the modem blinks partially.
