globe tattoo on snow leopard won't work?

everytime i plugged tattoo into my computer the app just wont run and says error. I need to find a link where I can redownload the firmwware but apparantly theyre not available in the site as I called the service center they dont provide the link at all! what a hassle!!

does anyone know any way to set up tattoo manually using the mac settings? (wonder if thats what you call vpn)...

will gratefully thank YOU!! if able to help, my sky broadband currently is down for 3 days since last saturday, im here in binondo area and the internet is not working at ll :\

i bought my tattoo almost 6 months ago.. btw, wonder if they did update the included software

My Tattoo still works with Snow Leopard though coming from Leopard. I wonder what might be happening with yours...

Well, we are experiencing the same thing!

What we did was to surrender the modem to Globe for check-up. As of the moment, the modem is still with Globe. I believe they are trying to update the firmware of the said modem. But so far, we haven't heard from them for 2 weeks now!

One of their technicians tried installing/using a different tattoo (white one) and it worked just fine.
Hassle sobra...

Check if you see the usb modem in Preferences>Networking. If its there, just type in tatoo tel. no. It should be something like *99***1#. You can also try typing http.globe.com.ph as tel. no. For Smart Bro it's just *99#. I am not sure about Tatoo. Then you can connect from there.

Or you can reinstall the program by right clicking on the app (modem drive), click on show package contents> contents > resources > mobilepartner.mpkg. That will reinstall the app on your mac.
To connect, open the moblie app on your applications folder (not the one on the modem drive)

Some modems have non customized applications around the internet.

Hi! Thank you everyone for the help! and I would like to tell you guys that special thanks to @md1122, I was able to reinstall the app thru package contents>contents>resources>mobilepartner.mpkg. After that I opened the mobile app on my app folder and was able to connect to internet.

Thanks for everyone who helped and I wish this post may help other philmuggers too while Globe doesn't released the new update for 10.6.

just to add, when i had problems using SL with my sun broadband wireless modem, here's what i did:

System Preferences >
Network Preferences >
Click on Huawei Mobile >
Click on "Advanced" >
Click on Vendor > "Other"

Check what is in the "Model" dialog box, click on it and make sure it selects "Huawei Mobile Connect - 3G Modem"

Click on "Ok"

... Your globe tattoo should work just fine afterwards, too :-)

When I installed my ZTE modem, I noticed that there were new ports aside from the modem in Networking. They are not configured. What are those ports? How are they used?
