    don't know but you can try calling globe center or it's sales representative in the area. I applied through a sales rep, the people in the center does not know what's happening in the ground though.

    that happened to me the first few days too. After those first few days, it never disconnected by itself again.

    It might be something about working out the bugs in the line.

    few days for you its almost 2 maybe 3 weeks already. there are days that are great no disconnection whatsoever great speed but mostly i have the disconnections very frequently. Ive called globe and they just tel me to disconnect for a minute and reconnect again but i still get the same results. I'm starting to think I made a wrong choice.

    Hi there! what kind of package is your globe dsl? Is it the one that comes with VOIP landline + dsl at 900++? I think that promo package around Pasig is really having a huge problem. I have 2 friends residing in Pasig (Greenwoods Area) and they both availed this promo and encountered a lot of problems like slow and frequent disconnection, connected but cant browse at all. My other friend has already requested for disconnection because of the poor and bad service.

    yup thats the plan I got. only im paying a total of P1495 cuz I thought i would be getting a faster connection. I'm really considering already to have it disconnected due to the bad service. I should have noticed it already when it took them like 4-5 days just to get my dsl connected. really troublesome and its so bothersome

    PLDT DSL has finally upgraded in my area (Merville) from 768kbps, my speed is now up to 4444kbps (pldtplay meter). Paying P2600 a month for dsl alone. Hopefully pldt will keep up the good work (this time). Fortunately, I was too lazy to shift to Globe. They were requiring me to go to Festival Mall for the application.

    hi uio. any actual experience w/ PLDT's NGN? im on their DSL plan P999 currently & im getting only around 40-50kbps actual download speed. whats the actual download speed of the NGN's 88kbps?

    BTW, isnt globe's speak & surf also dial-up speed? so comparing it to PLDT DSL plan P999:

    globe speak & surf - P1300
    PLDT landline + DSL - P1700

    but if speak & surf is only dial-up speed & wireless, it may still be better to have PLDT's wired DSL.

    @techjunkie

    The NxGn as of now is available in Pasig and Ortigas area. Its affordable, but one philmuger here warned me that the service their getting is worse than dial up.

    Speak n surf is around 168kbps max, low at 10-30kbps. Other than that youll get very frequent disconnections in the evening and morning. The upload rate is 4kbps. Worse, the internet disconnects every month which takes a week because of their system maintenance and glitches. It is wireless while their technical service people is so clueless, your head will bleed.

    Take my advice; I think it is far more better to get a wired DSL.

    At home, we're currently using PLDT DSL.. and it's been 3 weeks now since we've had an internet connection, something about them having technical difficulties I've been bombarding them with calls to fix it, yet nothing is still happening.. Is Globe DSL better? we might get the 1mbps plan at 1495, so is globe dsl really better? is anyone on the 1mbps plan? is it fast? and do they charge extra for putting up a wifi connection? 'cause we have a router at home.. would it be sufficient enough?

    I'm actually using hehe! the free wifi from PLDT DSL.. for now.. making the most of it..

    and also.. pwede pa mag-pldtplay sa GLOBE DSL? hehe! gusto ko kasi mag-cs:source eh! hihihi!
