Gigabit Ethernet cable? Where to buy ( cat6 )

My Macbook and iMac and server have gigabit NIC's but im using fast ethernet cables/switch ( cat5 )

10/100 was good until my recent addition of a real NAS server...

Where can I find a reel/spool of CAT6 cable?
I am looking forward to GIGABIT ethernet upgrade na (cable and switch).

im dont know where to get a cable that looks like on your pic but got my 2 and 3 meters CAT6 cable at villman

Check at your local Ace store they should have them handy.

Ahh nice.. I never thought about ACE! I will give em a try....
from my server to the farthest machines are about 75m+ (including mounting/tack points) so I will need lots of cable...

At CDRKing their Cat6 cables are ALMOST identical in price to cat5... maybe P80 for 3 meters or so


But their Cat5e cables also give you a gigabit speed connection. Just dont get the plain Cat5 and youre ok.

okay 1 question.

Here's my set-up:

i have a Time Capsule and it has a gigabit ethernet port. I connect my pldt modem to the TimeCapsule then connect my TimeCapsule to my iMac through ethernet ports. I believe Im only using cat5 cables.

I also transfer and back-up my files on the TC through the ethernet port.
Would it increase my speed if I get Gigabit ethernet cable(Cat6)? Since bothe the iMac and TimeCapsule have Gigabit Ethernet Ports?
