Default Fix Needed for Globe Visiblity on Snow Leopard

    Greetings MUGgers!

I recently updated to Snow Leopard and I've been trying to connect with my Postpaid Globe Visibility (E220 Huawei Mobile Broadband). However, it's been reporting that "Mobile Connect quit unexpectedly". I don't know how to fix the problem now. How do I connect now that I've updated to 10.6.1?

Can you guys help me with the fix for this?

    Thanks

Got the same problem. Reinstalling it doesn't work either.

Hey guys, the below instructional link really helped me out in making my SMART BRO on E220 work on my Mac on Snow Leopard.

I hope it guides you as well.

Check the Sun wireless broadband thread here in the MUG as well. Lots of solutions.

Finally got it to work! But I had to make a variation from joeorbe's tip. I had to change the apn from "3netaccess" to "internet.globe.com.ph".

But I think the APN still depends on whether you're prepaid or postpaid. I'm postpaid and "internet.globe.com.ph" worked for me.

    first time to read "3netaccess"
when everybody calls nokia... i answered iPhone; when people peek at windows... i stared at MAC; when humans aim w/ canon... i shoot with Łeica; when they swim with padi... i dive with Naui; when all men wear Hanes... i wear none

@loko_loko: I think that luisito meant RMM0221's tip. The link provided mentioned 3netaccess since the writer of that post mentioned switching the APN from 3netaccess to your local telco's APN.

If you are using the Huawei E220 on a Snow Leopard, download and install the driver and control panel from this site:

Solution was found from this forum:
