Default Feedback on SmartBro Share it?

Any subscribers here of SmartBro Share it? They just recently announced that its now unlimited and no longer saddled by the 90-hour thing.

Unlike my current canopy-based SmartBro account this one uses this:

Does this work on the same network and same principle as Smart's Plan P1500 Unlimited? Been reading a lot of bad stuff about that.

On paper mukhang ok ito. 2mbps for P995, pero baka naman in practice disaster. Am I better off sticking with my old SmartBro?

We've been a Share It subscriber since April and we've had no problems so far.

Haven't had the need to contact Smart customer care.

The connection is consistent and the speeds are decent for our needs (even with 2 laptops simultaneously surfing).

BTW, we use this service in the Ortigas CBD.

I do hope they've removed the 90 hour limit. That would be good news.

This uses HSPA, same one as the SMARTBro Prepaid Plug-It. It uses a direct power source like an AC outlet. The only limitation daw is you can use it in one location daw. So, if you're location profile is Metro Manila, you can't use it in the province, like maybe if you're in vacation in Tagaytay.

    Good thing is it's unlimited.

One static location or one area? Can it be used when plugged in a vehicle (which would be awesome) or when changing locations within Metro Manila? That would be great, no more fumbling with USB ports and wifi sharing, just plug and voila! Internet like magic!

so this means the old canopy smart bro (one with antenna) is better than this one? an actual specs and stats comparison could help...

Update: Called up Smart and being a current subscriber they were able to check the SmartBro Shareit (HSPA) service in my street/area in Taguig City.

Turns out the HSPA performance in my area has excellent download speeds but (and this is a big but) has serious upload problems. This is apparently due to the fact that the base station in my area has not been fully upgraded for HSPA service. They advised me to stick to my old canopy-based system for now and wait a couple of weeks before checking back.

What a pleasant surprise! That was mighty decent of them to check first and not just sell me the service. Kadalasan kasi ngayon que se joda kung bulok yung serbisyong nabili mo. Not this time though, nice.

It's based on area profile daw, like Makati and QC are under Metro Manila profile daw. I checked the unit and it comes with an AC plugin. Not sure if you can use power adaptor for the car.
