Apple Time Capsule
Hi!
Not sure if there's already a thread about Time Capsule (TC). Just want to have some feedback on the performance of this device with our local Broadband Providers.
I'm currently on SmartBro and using an Apple Airport Express (AXP), as a wireless home-router. It's been about 8 months already, and usage was a breeze. However, I'm beginning to go for a higher wireless broadband connection. Thus, I'm thinking of buying the TC.
Further, the TC has an integrated HardDisk that would surely put all my files safe and secure.
Thanks for those that would share their experiences on the TC!
Rgds,
Abiel 2/9

Try using the search function to be sure if there's already a thread on your desired topic.

Re: Apple Time Capsule
to be fair, i think "time capsule" is a very broad term - i get this message on my browser when i use the quick search function for it:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 12582912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /newhdd/home/philmug/web/forum/search.php on line 988
abielbad, i did a manual search for you - the time capsule threads are here.
(if this doesn't work, use the advanced search, then narrow your search to "titles only")

FYI, Time Capsule has been updated in US Apple Store, to 1TB and 2TB...

Re: Apple Time Capsule
I'm fine with my current TC, which I'm happy to say can stream my movies and tv shows no problem via Ethernet. The 2TB is tempting though.

I don't believe that that's possible. But the hard drive probably has a standby mode since I notice a bit of lag when accessing files if I leave the time capsule alone for some time.
Sir Shinrai, you should follow what your avatar says.

You never know how strong you really are until being strong is the only choice you have
