Anyone here using Smart Bro
Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone here is using Smart Bro as their ISP.
I recently had mine installed last week, so far the internet connection isn't that consistent.
Certain days I get a decent speed and other days I can really slloooowww connection.
My location is Pasay City (Buendia & F.B. Harrison)
Called Smart Bro tech support today and they said their are technical problems in my area but are being serviced as we speak (I hope this is true...)
thanks..
Was wondering if any Smart Bro users in this forum are also having the same inconsistent connection problem...

the "technical maintenance" na sinasabi nila eh alibi lang yun. last year I'ved had problems with my connection sa bahay, so i've been calling them almost every other night para ireklamo yung connection ko. so for about a month wala akong connection. Only I discovered na sira na pala yung LAN Card ko. When I installed my new LAN card eh nagwork na agad. So saan galing yung "technical service maintenance" nila?

Hi JLO,
I am a Smartbro user since November 2006 and so far, no connection problems since day 1. Also, try using the search function. You can find several smartbro posts.
Thanks.

OMG! Smart Bro is the worst ever... the first three months was ok, after that... wow! 33kbps downloads! Talk about false advertising... more than double dial-up speed is actually "Smart speak" for half dial-up speed. Can't even initiate iChat video chats. Strangely though, upload speed is more than advertised. Might as well go with dial-up than Smart Bro.
Location is Baguio.

we use smart bro at home as well. so far, it's not perfect but it's ok for our needs.
question though, is it possible to have more than one mac/pc logged on via wireless router? in our experience, if a 2nd one logs on the 1st one currently logged in gets disconnected. how do we fix this problem?
location is loyola heights, QC
@bedanmick: unlimited access to all AA hotspots for only P199 more? this is great!

if i were you and if you have a landline your better off with pldt's experience plan higher bandwidth same price, no antennas on the roof. only reason i installed smart bro was because it was the cheapest service before.

Yes, it's possible. I've connected up to 4 computers at the same time with no problems.
