Default Valve makes Team Fortress 2 free-to-play

Well, well, who does not want any freebie here? Haha. You can now download Team Fortress 2 on Steam for free. I've found an archived thread for Team Fortress 2 and it seems that there are players here already. Actually I haven't tried playing it but from the looks of it, this seems to be a shooting game just like Counter Strike. I think you still have to create a Steam account to download it. This game is native to the Mac so there's no need for Bootcamp here.

Here are some links to get you started:

Downloaded this yesterday. Got myself a Steam account and downloaded Team Fortress 2. Took a bit of time - it's nearly 10 gig!

It's like Counterstrike, but with a bit of humor thrown in. Am currently looking for people to play with. Muggers, let's form a group or something!

9.7gb and some change. It took me most of the afternoon. But the game's terrific. Am undergoing the Training phase, and so far I've been trounced silly. But am still at it!

Matter of time before we get others to join us, in that case. That makes four of us, rbenzon's son counted. Maybe we can get a PhilMUG guild going or something!

Oh man, I have slow connection at home! I'll think first of another option to download this. I thought this will just be a small download. But I'm looking forward to joining the game. Maybe you're much better when I start playing this, haha. Bang, bang...

Just to ask, does Steam allow you to pause your download then continue whenever you want similar to the iTunes app store? I'm still thinking of an option how I can download this game! :slanted:
