My guess is they use the extra cash to actually get a unit from Samsung PH. Notice that the Samsung warranty units come from a different "stack". Lol.

Tried the Note yesterday with the wifey. I think this is the only phone which made us consider android. The only caveat is the integration with out current gadgets and the ease of syncing. Both of us got so spoiled with the plug and play ease of the iphone.

Im thinking of selling my iphone just to try this out. I just dont want to get stuck with a gadget I cannot use with all my other gadgets.

    decisions decisions.

If you can find all the apps you need / want in the iOS world in the Android world, then that would make your decision easier.

Tried doing that. The task was daunting. LOL. There are so many apps but nothing comes close to the integration of iOS and iTunes.

Here's what I encountered when I got the Note and got rid of my iPhone 4 and iPad 2. Prior to getting the Samsung Note I had a hardcore Apple ecosystem at home. 2nd Gen Apple TV, MBP, MBA, iPhone 4, and iPad 2. I used iCloud and AirPlay.

Here are some of the "challenges". Feel free to add guys.

    • Syncing via iTunes doesn't work. You'll have to sync via Samsung's Kies, DoubleTwist, or copy paste the folders on the phone itself. The good thing though is that you don't have to convert your videos anymore to MP4. Yay! Just put it in your phone after download.
    • No AirPlay. I miss this the most since I have an AppleTV hooked up to my 40" TV with the JBL Sound Bar. The good thing is I can still stream music from my MBP to the set-up so it's not really that bad, hehe.
    • iCloud won't work. You'll need to import your contacts to Google. Good news is that this isn't too hard to do. Just export the Vcard file and upload to Google.
    • Apps that I bought for iOS aren't transferrable to Android. This is what probably annoyed me the most having spent thousands on iOS apps.

    There you go
Can you sync the apps you bought from Android market? If I change to a G-Note from my current android phone will my purchased apps still be recognized through my google account? What I do now is save it to the micro SD, but If I want a fresh install will my google account recognize that I already bought the apps.

Also hows the Voice Talk of android compared to SIRI of iPhone 4s?

Im in the crossroads of doing what you did but I feel that I still need to maintain one apple device so I wont throw away the apps I bought.

The probability of anything happening is directly proportional to its desirability.

^ For black (Or Blue)... I'm desperately seeking a WHITE model. Everyone on ebay/sulit/tipidcp have said no whites - even in malls. Hasn't been released here yet.... Even WidgetCity doesn't have white despite having it advertised on their website.
