Default For ex-Windows user, what made you switch?

I apologize if there's an existing thread.

For Mac users who used Windows before, what made you switch? State your reasons of why you were pissed off with Windows na.

    I switched because:
    1. I wanted to take a risk with Mac (never did enough research kasi)
    2. Looks stylish
    3. I had a broad idea that it's better than Windows, but it still revolves around #1

cause i spend more time fixing my PC when virus strikes. Ive spent enough to buy me my macbook instead of repairing my PC everytime.

i had a classmate who did a reporting but didn't actually report. he created a video slideshow slash podcast of our history report.
it was so cool since it looked so professional (the photos panned using the ken burns effect). it also sounded really good, the audio filters made his voice sound so professional.
i have been lusting for a mac ever since. and i got "Precious", my pretty white macbook last year

Tired of my toshiba laptop that kept crashing so I got a MBP which was 40% off the original price. If it wasn't a bargain, I would have gotten a viao or a cheaper laptop alternative.

I have the same sentiments as Treb22. I gave up being a Windows trouble-technician even on my personal notebook. I didn't even know that there is such a thing as stress caused by Windows until I stopped using it.

Reasons why I switched to Mac:

    1. Work & Play made easy and simple in a Mac
    2. I hate spaghetti-like wiring behind the CPU's of most PC's
    3. No more viruses. This means no more useless anti-virus programs that take up memory and space
    4. Tiger & Leopard are great, very stable and almost maintenance-free operating systems.
    5. User friendly interface
    6. iLife 08 and iWork 08 address all my needs as a student.
    7. Stylish
