iPOD nano 6g voice memo....

When you put an earphone with mic a voice memo icon pops out on the screen, my problem is I dont know how to delete the voice memo icon. when i tried to record my voice the icon just stayed there.

Im thinking of a solution of removing the voice recording but i dont know how to delete the recording itself.....


help?
