    Talking GIFs and Keynote

Hello everyone! a blessed day to all of you!

I am a teacher and to aid me in my class, I prepare presentations using Keynote because of its awesome effects.

However, how can I make animated GIFs work in Keynote presentations? they don't seem to work when they are presented.

i would appreciate your help...thanks in advance!

Hi. I tried it just now. I created a presentation in Keynote. Dragged the animated GIF on to the slide. Played it, and it was animating. If you mouse over the GIF during the presentation, you can control the timing of the GIF as well.

Hi redramos! Why don't you post the link to your GIF animation here (if you don't mind) so we can test it. It's either the file is at fault or Keynote. Drag and drop seems to work on my end too.

Here is how you do it:

    1) Put your Animated Gif into the slide

    2) Evoke the inspector Window (the blue circle with an "i")

    3) The Inspector window will appear and click on the Quicktime tab (the blue Q)

    4) Look for the "Repeat" section there should be a drop down box below it. Select the GIF and pick "Loop"

    5) Go to Play or slide mode to see your GIF animation move.

This is the Inspector window. Select the Animated GIF and open the drop down (red circle) and select loop. (or back and forth if you want)
