is this downloading speed normal

just tried downloading for the first time. its an 11 gb file so pretty big, but it said it was going to take 3 days to download ?? im into my 2nd hour i think and its only 2% !!

is this really how long it takes?

im a newbie =) esp. in downloading

What's your internet connection plan? and also, when running speedtest, make sure no other downloads are active except for the speedtest.net site..

i think its globe 999/per month.. i forgot the exact speed they promised because its been about three years.. =)

Seems like you really have a slow connection, or you're downloading from a really slow site. :-)
Oh, and 11GB is relatively HUGE. 2% means that 220MB in one hour, not bad for a slow connection.

Sometimes the DL speed varies. It may say 3 days to DL now but in the next session it may be sooner than 3 days or may even exceed 3 days. It sometimes depends on the source, your internet speed and a lot of other things.

11 gig is really a huge file. I can't even recall DL a file that big and i've been DL for years. Just be patient and leave it running on the background and do whatever else you do with your computer. The next thing you know your DL is finished.

are you experiencing slow connectivity for 3 years? I bet patience is your talent try to refresh your connection (e.g. release/renew ip, unplug modem and router for 30 seconds and plug them back in...) my globe connection had been running great for 4 years with only a few "no connectivity" issues... try to call them if you're not getting your right speed... you should at least get 80% of your maximum speed

yet 2% for 2hours is already good for an 11GB file despite your speedtest result... speedtest sites are not that accurate...

I usually stay away from 11GB files unless I really want that file. I've downloaded smaller files that took longer than 3 days. so be patient.
Here's a tip, when selecting your file to download, look at the seeds and leeches. If the numbers are low, forget about it. it may take you forever even if the file is just 100mb.
