If you mean from Apple’s iBook’s store then the answer is no.

I’ve so far only downloaded a sample through the Kindle reader on the iPad so can’t comment on that side however I’m liking the iBook store (US) and the reader.

@rage30, what you CAN do is buy books from the Kindle store, that way, you'll be able to read them on both the Kindle device and the Kindle app on the iPad (and iPhone/iPod touch). The Kindle app doesn't have as much eye candy as the iBooks app though Currently, I still prefer buying books from the Kindle store (even after I've gotten rid of my Kindle), just because it has a much wider selection than the iBooks Store.

I agree with Patrick. There are more selections in the kindle store. The only drawback is that if you have an international kindle version, new books are not usually available. That is were the iBook store (US acct.) has an advantage, unless you have s US kindle acct.

Yup that bums me out too. I also have an audible.com account (which is also owned by amazon) and I can't get many of the audiobooks I want because I'm out of the USA.

I can purchase books from the US Kindle store. I think I had to set my "one-click" shipping address to a US address. There's also an option in the Kindle account settings in Amazon.com which lets you change the country setting for the Kindle.

I was also able to buy Audible books from the US store by changing my billing address to a US address after I received my monthly credit allowance (I had a subscription plan). I just change the billing address back to the correct one before they charge my credit card.

MMM.....this post is my foot-in-the-mouth post. Yup. I was one of those who bought into the prediction that the introduction of the iPad will sound the death knell for the Kindle (and other e-Readers). Fast forward......Amazon just announced today that it has sold 8 million of the new Kindles in 2010. Wow. That's a lot....for a one-trick pony. My apologies to....ahh.....Kindlers everywhere.
