Hi, I just got my iPad, and I want to back-up my files to my itunes.
the iPad is sync with another iTunes back in Hawaii, is it possible to transfer all my applications to my iTunes without erasing the downloaded apps?

If I'm not mistaken, you can transfer all of your apps from your iPad to your iTunes library just as long as you have the username and password of the account that you used to buy the apps

Re: Backing Up Ipad applications, songs and videos
I found this in yahoo help:
"Syncing with another computer will delete EVERYTHING that is currently on the iPhone. This includes applications.
In your case, if you sync your iPhone with your friend's computer, your iPhone will only have the stuff that is on your friend's iTunes (music, photos, apps, etc.) Once you sync back with your own computer, you will lose all of your friend's apps, music etc. and you will be left with your own iTunes apps, music, etc.
Long story short, when you sync with your computer, the iPhone takes everything from that computer, and the iPhone can only sync with one computer at a time. You can't pick and choose what you want from random computers.

-the iphone and ipad should sink the same way so this explanation must apply.

i agree, that may be your best alternative to avoid losing the apps.
