Sleep Aid applications on iPhone/iPod Touch
Has anyone tried the sleep aid applications on iPod Touch/iPhone? I'm wondering if anyone who has had trouble sleeping during the day (due to night shift work hours) has tried this and has any feedback whether it really helps/works as advertised.
I'm a bit wary of buying immediately if its something that doesn't work, and I've been having mixed results with Sleepasil and Benadryl (anti-histamine capsule)

there was a time i had insomia for about 2 weeks and tried some free apps: what helped was prescription for sleep. just get the lite version and youl be in dreamland in 10mins. use eye covers too if your room is not pitch dark.

I use SleepUp. It really helps!

I tried relax melodies, still had a very hard time sleeping. You can try this antihistamine, hydroxyzine 10mg or 25mg (better than benadryl) but you might feel a little groggy waking up. No driving or operating heavy machinery when you take this though. And do try to make your room pitch dark
good luck sleeping! Insomnia is hell!

I use Relax M. P. HD or stream music from my subscrption at Whisperings SoloPiano Radio. Either one sets my mood for a relaxing nightcap.

you can also try "Sleep Pillow" or "Relax Melodies" I find these apps very useful whenever I have problems sleeping. It really works for me.

I'd go for Pzizz. They have their own technology so that you won't hear the exact same music each time

Re: Sleep Aid applications on iPhone/iPod Touch
I read an article that said that the problem with sleeping during the day is that if there's too much light in your environment, your body doesn't produce melatonin which regulates your sleep cycle and makes you sleepy. I agree with the suggestions that you keep your room pitch dark. Why don't you try buying very heavy curtains to block off any light coming from outside? Also, lessen any artificial light sources like lamps, laptop, ipad before you sleep.
