Personal hotspot
I regularly change the APN of the cellular data on my iphone, wary of all the horror stories about Getting obscene charges by Globe.
My problem is, once i do this, the Personal hotspot option disappears. And i need to Reset network settings just to make it reappear again, when i need to use personal hotspot for my iphone.
So my question is- does anyone know if there is any other way? To get the Personal hotspot option back, without having to reset network settings.
Just wondering. Tia

Re: Personal hotspot
You need to have an active mobile internet connection for the personal hotspot option to appear.

Re: Personal hotspot
Are you on iOS 4 already? Because you have the option to turn off cellular data instead of changing the APN.
parted ways with my seldom used apple devices. now it's just me, my iphone 4 and my mbp. i know your new owners will take care of you.

He is on iOS4. He did mentioned that he has personal hotspot which is a feature only on iP4 and all iP4s come with iOS4.

You are right. My mistake. They did rename internet tethering in the 3Gs to personal hotspot, but still without the wifi hotspot feature present only in the iP4. My apologies.
