Nettalk - Free app to call US & Canadian numbers for free via wifi/3G

Hey folks,

I finally found a free app to allow you to make free calls to US and Canadian phone numbers - it's called Nettalk and it's by a company that is selling a competing product to the MagicJack VOIP appliance. This app, however, is entirely free, and works quite well. There are also versions for Android & Windows Mobile available.

This eliminates any need to subscribe to Skype's $3 a month subscription for unlimited calls to US & Canada. Too bad that it's outgoing only.

BUT it's asking for SIP details

All you have to do is sign up for a Nettalk account and you're good to go - that's what they mean by "SIP details." You can do this directly from the iPhone.

Oh, and after you sign up, you have to confirm your account by entering the inbox of the email account you used to register Nettalk and click on the link that they send you to activate your account.

Two things:

1) Needs an iPad version
2) I bet MagicJack's going to come out with their MagicTalk soon. Everyone's going free.

Works great on wifi and 3G! i don't have to renew my Magic Jack subscription

Well you might need to renew it if you are expecting incoming calls from the US. Nettalk is outgoing calls only (so far).
