A basic free expense App is Balance. Nothing fancy, but it works.

But I use SplashMoney as my Personal Finance app and Things as my PIM/GTS manager. Both those last two apps aren't free however.

I'm using Spend Lite (the free version of Spend). It's perfect for my needs.
The concept behind it is to have a weekly budget for different kinds of expenses.

    Ex:
    P500 for food
    P200 for transpo
    etc etc..

Then you track your expenses and it deducts from those budgets you mentioned. There's also an option that rollovers budgets left from the previous week, so if you spent only P200 on food last week, then you get +P300 this week. The reverse is also true. You can get less for the current week if you spent too much previously.

The free version is limited to weekly budgets, but the paid version let's you have a monthly budget I think.

I tried other free finance apps but this is the one I really love because of its budget thing. This way, you actually know when you're spending too much already in a week, and if you should adjust your spending accordingly for the succeeding ones.

I also use this app. Simple and easy to use. The lite version is enough for me since I just plan my budget on every week only.

The most useful app I have and even purchased is MemoryInfo. It frees up runtime memory which is useful so that certain apps especially games won't always crash. I'm sure the new iPhone 3G (S) won't have this problems with the existing apps available in the AppStore because of the improvements in processor and graphics.

Default Your Top 5 Most Used Apps for the iPhone/Touch

apologies if there's a thread like this already.

We've all had our iPhones and iPod Touches for a while and I was wondering how people use theirs besides the usual phone, sms, music and web browsing features. Let's list the top 5 apps we use excluding the built-in apps. You can include webclips if you like, I actually have one in my list.

    1) Byline for keeping up with news - Lets me start the day off by reading the news without opening my computer

    2) Transmission WebClip - for monitoring my downloads when I'm too lazy to go downstairs.

    3) Wikipanion - for looking up stuff I see on the news and tv

    4) Kindle for iPhone - my nappy time reading before bed.

    5) WriteRoom - for my top of the mind notes, grocery lists and more detailed to do lists.
