Apple is World's Most Admired Company (again)
The men and women of 1 Infinite Loop have done it again, folks.
For the 4th straight year, Apple has topped Fortune's list of most admired companies. (surprised?)
For the fourth straight year, Apple tops Fortune's Most Admired list. The company's blistering pace of new product releases has continued to set the bar high for tech companies across the board.
Apple took a stock hit when iconic CEO Steve Jobs announced in January that he'd be taking a second medical leave, two years after receiving a liver transplant during a six-month sabbatical. But Jobs assured the market in the company's recent earnings report that Apple was still "firing on all cylinders."
It certainly appears to be. Apple nearly doubled its quarterly profits vs. a year ago. The iPad 2 was introduced in March, marking the second generation of one of Apple's milestone product successes. And Jobs made a surprise appearance at the launch...

Steve Jobs did a fantastic and great work. He should be voted as the best inventor of the century.

how I wish Steve Jobs would be here for at least 20 more healthy years, and Apple may actually help where it hurts right now - fuel transportation, and the medical field...

We all admire Steve Jobs and wish him well but let's face it, he's not known to be a philanthropist nor is he one to involve himself in social issues.

That's amazing! to be able to keep the fire of innovating and staying on top for 4 straight years! Not exactly the most relevant comparison haha but to even Jordan got bored with the Bulls after 3 championships and took a break.
Congrats Apple! Continue to keep making products we never knew we wanted

This is not unexpected because the of the release of Ipad 2 and the refresh of MacBook Pros with Sandybridge and Thunderbolt.
Way to go apple!
