I had to do a restore last night and discovered that there is a bookmark for Globe myServices portal in mobile Safari. I tried it with my Globe sim and works fine:

I was at the morning session of the Globelabs launch and was disappointed with the lack of programs for iPhone development. There will be a contest for applications using the Globe API but will only be limited to Adobe, Microsoft, Nokia and Symbian mobile platforms.

Yes I'm using a first gen iPhone with FW 2.0.1. I added my number, a PIN was sent to me via SMS then I changed it and logged it and I was able to check what's in their menu, hence the screenshots. I think this setting is with 2.0.1 but I can't recall if its already in place in 2.0

I could try it again later though, but I was at the Globelabs launch earlier today and showed it to my friend rom and he got a text all day option and it worked in his number.

it showed on my iphone as iphone.globe.com.ph or myservices.globe.com.ph. It will detect if you are using Mobile Safari if not, it will say "Sorry, only iPhone users are allowed to access this site."

Wow. I was told that this was going to be launched on Aug 22 pa. We were the ones who designed the front end for the Globe myServices portal. The blue background design, the other one was done by another company.

@chairman: I stumbled upon it when I saw a bookmark on my unit when I restored my unit and then updated to 2.0.1, so I guess it gets added when the unit detects a Globe signal. I'm not sure though, so officially its not yet out. Be that as it may, I think its a great development and I really like the color scheme.

The myGlobe portal that I use to check my dues and balance is sometimes problematic. I like the portal. They can indeed add more features to it along the way. Browsing the portal gives a real iPhone experience.

yup! it's the iUI. Our part was relatively simple. We just put together the design, html and css, our client (app developer) took care of the backend stuff. That's the harder part.

i love the interface, and i love that i can check my balance without sending an sms to globe.

I think they are pulling the data from the same servers that send you your balance when you check it via SMS. Heck if they charge me more than what I see there, I'll ask them to shut it down instead :D

guys, i need some help...i tried to register to the my globe services but instead of getting a pin sent to me i got a message that says " to continuously enjoy globe's services please keep your account updated". What's the deal? I am on a new plan and just got the iphone yesterday so no past charges are due. thanks

I used the correct 0917-XXXXXXX format and waited 24 hours. Still won't work

update: called globe CS and she said since i was a new subscriber (got my iphone and line just yesterday), the system is still updating itself. She said for me to try to register again tom afternoon. :)

The mobile number and its format are correct, but I keep getting the same message :( The CSRs at the Globe hotline were no help at all. One of them didn't even know what it was and kept asking me if I was referring to myGlobe

i used my postpaid to go to that site and register my prepaid account, go the pin and authenicated it... i tried checking balance and the website hang.. hehe

was finally able to register with myglobe services. for those using it, do you have to logout at the end before you exit safari. I can't seem to find a logout button on the screen. thanks

@AKC, I didn't find a logout button either. I've tried it for a couple of times na and didn't have any problems re-opening it. It just prompts me again to enter a password when I re-open it after an hour or so.

thanks bacchus, i tried opening it less than 10 min after so i guess thats why i was not asked to reenter my password. thanks :)

I think it keeps cookies in the mobile Safari keeping the session alive if it is less than 30 mins or an hour.

Unfortunately there's no solution to the problem yet according to the CSRs I've spoke to. I just call 211/ 730111 or go to myGlobe if I want to know my balance and unbilled charges until this is fixed

btw, if youre running on wifi and use this myglobe services, will it use wifi or gprs/edge/3g?

According to the Globe CSR I talked to, they updated the system yesterday to fix the number not recognized problem. I'm not sure if that's the same error as yours though. Try again, I guess?

my safari crashes when i click my globe.. Im alreay logged in.. Got no problems checking my account...

I wanted to check this out but my Safari App seems to have stopped working. All other apps work though:confused:

I get the same message also Invalid mobile number. Wonder how come this is happening when my mobile number is valid.

^someone from globe called me this morning saying they have escalated the issue... they will just call me back within 24-48hrs for another update...

Just tried it now. Works for me. They might have fixed the problem.

gave it a try... but i still didnt get the PIN for the activation....
