Another way is to open a Paypal account (they already accept Phlippines-based credit cards) and purchase iTunes cards from eBay. You can easily get cards with at least a 10% discount. Just make sure the seller is willing to just send you the code via email if you win the auction.

itunes load should never expire.

i don't think it expires.. i get a notification once in a while that i have an unused balance on my account, but it doesn't say that it will expire on some date..

I know I read on the back of the card that it expires upon a certain time period, about one year or so...it's been more than one year since I last loaded my account, and I still have my balance left.

You know, you can just ask any of your relatives to buy one for you. You can get an iTunes gift card in any grocery, supermarket, bookstore, maybe even your local convenience store.

It's like the old prepaid cards. Just ask your relative to get one for you, scratch off the code and email to you.

Mad Mac, when you redeem the gift card, it prompts you to create an account if you don't have one. Just set payment to "no credit card" and you're done. :-)

Hmm, doubtful. The last time I got the news these cheaper than actual itunes credit gcs got a lot of people's itunes account disabled for fraud.

Went to PMC Megamall last Saturday. If I remember correctly, the saleslady said $25 iTunes card is around P1670 and $50 is P3200ish...

If I went to the US and bought a bunch of iTunes cards at retail prices, I would add a premium too.

The fact is, iTunes cards are for the US market only and anyone who sells them here acquires them at retail prices. You can't expect them to sell with zero profit.

this has been tackled before. Use Philmug's search function................but, just borrow a relative's U.S. address to create your "U.S. iTunes Account," and redeem the iTune gift card. Take note that there are lots of iTunes gift card that were procured then resold using fradulent means. iTunes tracks those and, if you get caught, they'll block your account.

Looks like a scam to me. I would question anyone who sells $200 worth of iTunes GCs for just $85. This used to be rampant before when Apple was hacked by some Chinese guy, but those GCs stopped working a long time ago.

Just change the address to a usa address.. and you can use your account with the US iTunes Gift Certificates

How much ITMS did you get? The Apple Store online has a maximum of 10 pcs for each other.. Its tiresome to do multiple orders and it takes awhile for the delivery (via USPS).

I bought USD$2,000 worth of iTunes Gift Cards in Bestbuy and suddenly the Manager came out and asked for an ID.. And keep on asking on why I was buying alot.. And I told them its for the election and they just ended up smiling.. I told the Manager if its soo much trouble I can pay in Cash but they would rather use the credit card for security reasons (which they cannot explain). I was lucky that Diner's Club was being accepted in Bestbuy.. Now it will be easier to have the Annual Fee waived with Diners Club (its harder to find merchants accepting Diners Club anymore).. next to American Express..

BTW those persons who would try to steal those ITMS Gift Cards, it will not work since they are only activated after payment in the counters (in Bestbuy and Rite Aid)..

I think there's a limit somewhere.. I used to get the ITMS Online but after awhile it doesn't work anymore.. I tried changing Apple IDs and either they tagged my Credit Cards or my IP Address (since i'm in Hong Kong), but all other orders doesn't have any problems (buying IPADs and ITMS via Snail Mail)..

I also tried it your way (US iTunes with Paypal that is funded by a local cc), it didn't go.

If I'm not mistaken, iTunes US account requires a US addy (with zip code, phone). The customer's purchase account should also be funded/sourced in the US. Thus the credit card should be US-issued; or if you're using Paypal, then your Paypal account should also be funded from a US source (US bank, US credit card). If you have time, try to read the US iTunes terms and conditions...on paper, it limits its customers to the US market.

i tried mediawob. they already confirmed my order but i was waiting for hours and it didnt arrived. when i checked my order status they apparently dont have stocks of the $25 card. it didnt say that during my order so im really disappointed with that.

They did that to my account asking for credit card details and I responded to them that as per paypal rules, you should not give your card data to anyone. Emailed them the code and now I have access to Maximus with no limitation.

I just checked and it said that "that your Visa/MasterCard has to be issued by an institution that fully supports Verified by VISA or MasterCard SecureCode payer authentication system. Otherwise, your order will be rejected."

My local credit cards don't support both authentication systems, so that means I have to find another place to buy iTunes Gift Cards.

That's a good point. I only use my US & UK accounts for tunes or movies which are not available in the RP iTunes store.
