Since it was a holiday today (in Calamba only - YAY! No work!), I went around my kapit-malls - shang mall and megamall, and checked out a couple of earphone/headphones.

Saw a lot of good ones, and a lot of cheapos. Price ranges of my selections are from 900-2400, not counting the original in-ear of apple that costs about 2800.

So what's the best to buy for your iPod? I'm very particular about sound quality and durability. The sennheiser earphone that came with my 2nd hand iPod is great, but I've been craving for a headphone lately.

Earphones - sennheiser whatsismodelnameandnum? - no hook-overs on your ear please.

Headphone - I saw AKG, Panasonic, and Philips, and Sennheiser - but which one to buy?

in-ear - Apple's is 2800, Sony has one, but is it compatible with iPod? (saw the sony at @games last weekend). Is there another brand?

Hi Tantin, been using the Sennheiser HD590 headphones at home for almost two years now and I can say that the sound quality is comparable to loudspeakers costing at least twice as much. Check out http://headphone.com/ and http://head-fi.org/ which I think are the best resources for headphones on the web. :D

From what info I gathered it is one of the best consumer canal phones.

if you would go for durability, philips should be on the last of your list, though they have superb sound, they damage easily... anyway, i suggest that you go for pioneer or sennheiser, or if you have a good budget, shure or bose.. sony and panasonic is a good choice too...

Digital analog, they are pretty good. the bass is really good i mean it thumps. im enjoying them. im hoping to sell my cx95 soon.

got it from an apple store in fresno. they actually ran out of stock. while looking around, new ones were delivered. got lucky.

They cost P22,000. Shouldn't be much of a surprise there since it is made by Monster, same folks who sell us 30-foot Ethernet cables (http://www.eleksis.com/products/monster/ipod/aienet.html) for just P2,350.00. :D
