i have this icon (exclamation point inside a dialogue bubble) beside the battery on the status bar on the top of the screen. what does this mean and how do i take it out? tia

You probably installed "Taskbar Notifier" through app.tapp. It means you have a new sms. It's just an icon reminding that you have a new sms received.

does it stay there even if i've read all my sms's?

I don't think so. Once you've read the supposed sms, it should be gone as well.

new sms icon actually...but a superfluous one, since you get your sms notice on the screen and on the springboard sms icon itself

try to look for your calendar. it might be some alarm or note that you put and it had been expired.

i used to have my battery in percentage at the upper right. i could toggle between battery bar and percentage displayed on the top right battery - now it cant. its just the battery bar. what is the prog? thanks

if you have iblacklist on your ohone that means an sms was blocked. open up i blacklist and go to history and tap clear, the icon will disappear.
