Yup, just like the N95's 5 megapixel camera doesn't really look like it takes a 5 megapixel picture. It's all in the lens. Nothing beats a dedicated digicam.

hey not bad for a cell phone camera... With all the features of the iPhone, am satisfied... more sms features na lang.

I think the iPhone can take pretty decent snapshots.

I actually like the iPhone's camera- even in low light or indoors, you can take decent pics- which is more than I can say for my old PPC phone's camera. I can readily say at least the pics I take with my iPhone are of good enough quality to keep. BTW, nice shots.

This here's from a fireworks display yesterday at SM Baguio.

Dr_Red, very nice fireworks burst photo! It's amazing! How'd you manage to capture the light trail? Share with us your technique. I ought to try it one time using the Phone's camera. Can anyone duplicate this shot using the iPhone camera?

I just came in time for the fireworks display. I got stuck outside the mall but held by the guard really near where the firecrackers were lit. Like they go off above our heads. It was a bit dangerous but the view was great! And I took this shot using my iphone cam. :)

Thanks! Indeed, the iPhone's camera is wonderful. It sure beats the ugly camera of my old XDA2s, which makes really grainy photos, and in which the blue sky always appears pink. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

has anyone tried macro shots with a magnifying glass? i've read about it before and have tried doing it a couple times, i just can't find the shots i took i think they got deleted by accident the other day when i changed OS to vista from XP (ack! PC software i know....i should've backed my photos again in the mac before formatting)

i haven't tried posting pics via multiply but like one of our fellow muggers said to me before just click the "insert image" icon and paste the link of your photo.

i noticed that this best works with flickr. :)

Okay, I just had to add this one.... cruising home the other day on the highway, and this Infiniti's license plate made me look twice and quickly snap this shot - going 80mph... on the iPhone!. ;)
Hint: if you missed it at first glance, look again and READ the plate! :p Yes, that's a real vanity plate, and yes, that plate spells the equivalent of XXX.... hinabol ko po nga sya eh just to get this quick snap!

Plug your iPhone via USB cable. Launch iPhoto. It will automatically detect it as an external camera.

You can do it via iTunes.
1. Connect your phone
2. Open iTunes and select your phone from the side panel

There should be a tab there for photos. Tick the folders that you want to upload to your phone.

1g and 2g are pareholang... hehehe 3g is just the 3g and it looks diff tsaka may 3g duh' parhong may cam and speaker. may gps ang 3g yung 2g wala pro d mo naman magagamit ang gps sa pinas so wala rin... yep i suggest you get an iphone instead of an itouch its better to have both in one device. d ko alam ang market sa pinas pero dito sa us nasa 300$/15k-400$/35k yung brandnew 8-16g 2ng gen without contract. yung 3g around 600$/30k-800$40k 8-16g without contract.

I've had such an experience a number of times as well. There was a time too that I had to take a group photo, and I was surprised that the captured image was skewed to one side where in fact the visual feedback I was getting during the actual take was properly centered. This certainly looks like a bug. What I do is I just restart the camera app or reset the iPhone, and all is well again.

Oo naman, any decent photo program like Lightroom (paid) or Picasa (free) can detect your iPhone via USB and import the photos. Another option is to simply email the photos straight from your iPhone.

i use image capture in OSX ... and you can also delete photos on the iphone thru image capture :D and its free :D
