If it's a 3.5" drive (the ones normally used in desktop computers) you're talking about, it won't fit inside your Intel Mac mini. The Intel Mac minis use the smaller 2.5" SATA drives (the ones used in notebook computers).

Regardless of the size, it will work if you put it in an external hard drive case.

If you want to expand your mac mini just get an external hard drive.
