Man... If the standard pocket dock costs at 2k. What more with this?

Just browsed Send Station's online store. If you get a PocketDock with Lineout 3-pack, it's only USD 82.95, and shipping is free. It looks like its a Euro company and their shipping times to the rest of the world is 4 to 14 weekdays. So each PocketDock is only USD 27.65 or roughly PHP 1550.

got it from a friend who bought an ipod audio kit thing for his 3rd gen ipod. but what he got was for the 2nd gen audio kit. i bought the carcharger from him nlng since he won't be able to use it... :P

The power of PhilMUG at work. I betcha the authors of Phone Agent, BluePhoneMenu, Salling Clicker, and a bunch of other shareware programs were also baffled at the sudden spike in registration activity from the Philippines.

Philmug, indeed! I actually first saw this product from PinoyMac.org. I found the normal Dock too bulky to tag along, and so I felt this product would make a lot of iPod (and Mac) users very happy. The verdict is not yet out though. We'll see if this product lives up to PhilMUG's standards.

I just wish I ordered it with you guys. I had to pay $36.00 for a piece. Sayang din yung $10. Darn.

Aux in is possible or just a cassette adapter if you have a tape deck. The advantage of the line out is the sound quality is better than if just coming from the headphone jack. The car charger is not needed to play the iPod in the car, only if you needed to charge it if your iPod's battery runs out. :)

Oh yes, sorry my mistake. I did say that the PocketDock has a line level output, so the cassette adapter won't work. :blush:

Here's my initial test (I'm no Audio Engineer like ditoy). My iPod's volume was set halfway, equalizer off (this is my preferred volume out using my earphone out because even if I pump the volume up, I hear no distortions. Anywhere above, there is already). I attached it to my amplifier at home and WOW! This is one monstrous cutie (sounds smooth and distortion free)! It performs, (if not out-performs) like the Dock! I wish I still had my 6250 for it's sound meter! Could have shown you better test! The pictures I will attach are a comparison of the volume level I used relative to the same sound output according to mine ears. The first picture, cable is attached to the earphone out. Second picture, cable is attached to the PocketDock. Sana nga may decibel reading ako. But anyway, just to give you an idea.

Actually, any order above $75 has free shipping! :) The only additional cost we have to pay is the P30 Customs inspection fee. But unlike bagwis' door-to-door shipping, I had to get ours at the post office. bagwis, did you use SendStation's online store as well? Just wondering why ours wasn't delivered to my door.

Yes! I believe we went through the same process, bought from the same website. It might have something to do with the size. I only ordered one so baka pinayagan na ng door-to-door.

just installed the pocketdock. line-out straight into my pioneer CD-RB20's line-in.

so much better than earphone output. :)

just need to get an ipod holder that can accomodate the additional length of the pocketdock plus the phonejack.

That's still the big question for me, what iPod holder to get. I've been looking at the Belkin TuneDok. The bottom allows you to connect the PocketDock. I'm not sure if the plastic cup can manage the excess length of the wires.

i don't know if it's the firewire / lineout model i saw a week ago in greenhills theater mall. I saw a pocket dock for sale there. It's the shop on the 2nd floor by info max. If you're standing in front of info max it will be on your right. doon't know if it's games and gadgets.

The one in G&G is the original PocketDock, without line out. There's also a retractable FireWire cable for the iPod there, just in case anyone's interested. :)

just in case anyone is interested. the Bose store in rockwell is selling the Monster iCharger from Monster Cable. it comes with a cig charger and line-out as well. going around 3k+.

The RB10 which does not have a CD changer port but only the RCA port is around 1800.

When I plugged the pocketdock into the bottom of the ipod I then realized that there are no push out buttons like the one found in the original dock connector that came with the unit.

Is it just pulling out the pocketdock the right way of removing it from the ipod?

Does the pocketdock drain the battery more than usual? My iPod seems to have drained a lot faster than usual. Could be my iPod though (just got it replaced).

I know it's _supposed_ to drain less from the battery since it's not passing through the headphone amplifier electronics. At least that's what their website says.

i tried to use the pocket dock with a cassette adapter and it works perfectly, better dynamic range since it pumps out balanced output.

tell you guys about my test on another car, this time with a pioneer head and the rb20 very soon! (so no casetter adapter)

It comes with 2 6-ft. white audio cables: One with 3.5 mm (1/8-in) stereo plugs on both ends, Another with stereo RCA on 1 end and 3.5 mm plugs on the other
