what's a good mac program to trim down and delete some duplicate songs. I have songs that have the same name, but have been sung by different people or different versions. I wanna keep those. But for those that have similar names and similar file sizes, I wanna get rid of. It's kinda hard to do that with such a massive collection.

any ideas?

I know there is a script for searching duplicates in iTunes tucked somewhere in here (http://www.apple.com/applescript/itunes/). I used it before.

The only thing I can think of is iTunes + patience. Search is your friend. :P

Found it! It's Remove Duplicates (http://www.malcolmadams.com/itunes/scripts/scripts01.php?page=4#removeduplicates) by Doug's Applescripts for iTunes.

Need to organize my iTunes collection as well as I'm about to bequeath my workhorse 10 GB iPod soon to my sister.
