Elbert will be opening his new pizza place in Salcedo. where the old Hooch bar used to be.. & a stone's throw away from Gino's pizza..
There's one near my office. They serve good fried chicken and tomato soup as well. & since it's the sister company of Army Navy (which is right beside it), you can also order from the menu of AN (vice versa)
I dunno I used to love pizzas when I was a kid. Nowadays, I'm so "umay" na especially with the likes of Pizza Hut which is too oily. I'd rather enjoy the very cheap ones like Czyrah's sold in yhe "kanto."
My wife and daughter is presently a big fan of Gino's Brick Oven Pizza I'm honestly surprised that the place was first mentioned here last Feb 2011 and was mentioned in this thread a few days later. I thought the place is new...
was at Elbert’s this afternoon. Love the plain ol’ cheese pizza. Understand cheese being used are different but I’m still biased towards Gino’s. No problem, both are just a 5 minute walk from the office
^Yeah, there's an embarrassment of riches in pizza around Salcedo Village - Elbert's, Gino's, Motorino, Single Origin,... I'm sure I'm missing a couple
na miss ko to (Gino’s). Margherita & Five Cheese haven’t tried Single Origin’s pizza. Been there only once (pre-Pandemic) to try their rib eye.
last month, we discovered this gem of a place inside the walled city during our 3-day family Intramuros immersion: Raffael Woodfired Pizza the 4-cheese is heavenly (gorgonzola, provolone, mozzarella, Parmesan with Arugula & truffle honey). The view while dining (Sky Deck restaurant) : we're booked to come back again, at end of the month's long weekend
We had Crosta twice and I didn't like both our visits. We wish we've gone to Elbert's just a few walks away instead.
was surprised to learn that Shakey's L. Mariano does not serve beer is it just for this branch? or have they stopped serving beer in all branches?
I tried Crosta last friday. got the Pepperonley, White Sausage, & Pork you.. Pork You was the best for me. the rest were just OK. BTW, saw on Elbert's FB last week that he's closing down his Pizzeria for something else.
My recent go to for pizza as of late is a mano in either BGC or Rockwell areas. Also got to try Tripods Pizza in Teacher's Village area, and it was a really cheap but good pizza place. Sadly, you have to sit outside on those Lifetime tables from S&R, but I get that they're catered to students and its a Maginhawa thing.
