I have an old pair of Shure E2C in-earphones with one earpiece that has no sound. I think the cord needs replacing. Where can I have this done, with hopefully a more modern, more durable cable (twisted maybe?)?

Mm..contact egghead thru fb. They recable stuff. Problem though is if cable is non-removable, replacing it is not advisable.

Thanks. I’ll get in touch with them.

EDIT: No joy. Tech guy at Egghead told me my unit is unrepairable. They'll have to heat up the two halves of the earpiece to pry them apart, find out what's wrong (the driver or the cable or both), then try to bring the two halves back together, which is dicey because the heat may have warped them and won't mate as tightly as before.

    Oh well…

Mm...yup. In case you are in the market, I suggest buying an in-ear with removable cables.

    Update:

I got an open box iSine10 unit with one of the black hooks broken for 50% off. It appears to be unused or even if it were, I do not care and consider it broken in (might be literally as well) - it still has warranty so nothing lost there.

It's bigger brothers are too expensive for me at the moment - there are iPhone Xes and DJI Mavics to be bought. :p

Mm..yeah, the hooks tend to be fragile. You can order from Audeze the new grooved eartips for the iSine series and a set of earhooks (improved) is already included. That’s what I did.

Mm...a set comes with set of small, medium and large. It is standard packaging to all eartips manufacturers for single SKU. Besides, the guide tube of the iSine series is larger than the normal "earhole" but it is not designed to be inserted deep, just enough to seal it (semi-open design since the iSine is open-backed so seal is not crucial, you still hear the bass or low frequencies).

That is reflected in the product pics: the difference in size between the small, medium and large is minimal.
