My wife found it on OLX. I think the post is now closed though.
just finished testing: Oppo UDP-203
Congrats! Did you get it locally?
Yup, fellow Mugger! I’m sure you’re enjoying yours too. Magastos lang!
^ And it seems we bought some of the last units, as Oppo has just announced they will stop production!
A big-ass ROG Strix and MW60s...
I've been drooling for ultrawide monitors (34" 3440x1440) for probably a year now. I'm still just drooling. lol
^The ROG Strix is on promo now compared to its previous high and at 35” is a real estate wet dream...
Can’t wait for the new mbp’s so i bought the i5 256gb with touch bar as a grad gift for my daughter
13 inch, 256GB. Space Gray MacBook Pro with Touchbar.
Zhiyun Smooth Q
This.. 42mm Nike AW 3
Bought it in Apple Shinjuku’s first day store opening last April 7. I really thought there’s a special discount, promo, or freebies but i should have not kept my hopes high because it is not in Apple’s language to do such thing. Hehe.
Still happy though. Best part, still got the same apple staff attitude/treatment I have seen and feel consistently regardless of the country. Still holding the belief that I am paying for a great service more than their product.
First time to try One Plus phone
Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Headphones
Have knife. Do anything. Best gadget.
After trying the SoundSport Free during my 11K and 9k recently, overall, it’s a good set.
Audio quality is one of the reasons why I got it. It has base-rich, clean, Bose signature sound profile. I almost fell for the Sony WF-1000X, which isn’t far from the price range but the Sony option is not sweat and water resistant.
Initially, I found it a bit bulky during my trial checks before purchasing but I told myself that I would get used to it. They stick out a bit conspicuously after I saw myself looking like a Frankenstein. It even appears to me like I’m wearing huge earrings. [The nice thing about living in Singapore is that nobody cares about what you wear, how you look and even how you freakin’ smell. Only Filipinos give f*cks saying things about other people. Filipino tourists even say a lot more.]
During my first run last Friday, I thought that the grip is a bit loose until I discovered that I was wearing it wrong the whole time. The wing tips (stability fins) were not in place but I got so surprised that for it remained secure. Well, when I began wiping my face, somehow my hanky passed by the ear area, causing one to easily fall on the ground without the wing tip in the correct position. Blame it to years of using my nifty Sennheiser CX300 II in-ear noise-cancelling earphones, which didn’t give me such issues at all.
Bluetooth connection / wireless range is also excellent. I left my phone in the livingroom and went to the kitchen, like 8-9 meters away and it still offered smooth playback.
Battery life is great at around 5 hours - more than enough to fuel every 10k run, 3x a week.
I am yet to get acquainted with the player controls which are also used to answer/end calls. Some say that it’s quite challenging to press the buttons (not touch response) but I blame it to fat fingers. When someone called me on Whatsapp while doing house cleaning, a voice prompt spoke out the name of the person calling. I suddenly thought there’s waze in my ears. Calls are only audible on the Right earbud btw.
A terrible downside is the 1-secondish lag when viewing videos (on mobile). Great thing is I don’t really watch videos using it so it’s primarily meant for my runs.
I also noticed the time to complete the essential firmware update, which is an exhausting 2 hours using the mobile phone method according to some owners but I managed to do the update using my mac. I plug the USB charging case and it only took around 10 minutes. Not bad.
Doesn’t really handle noise isolation well, which is a good thing for safety reasons especially when using it outdoors, making one aware of the surroundings and approaching vehicles. I’ll continue using my Sennheiser to handle noise isolation onboard planes, trains and most especially, in office. I hate chismis and unnecessary noise while doing my work.
The semi-open earbud design allows sound leakage when playing loud music but only obvious when inside a room or enclosed area.
Find My Buds feature will be nifty during burara days.
